Overview

MI Windows and Doors is seeking hardworking and dependable individuals for the Production Assembler position on the 3rd shift at their Hegins Plant. This role involves safety and efficiency in fabricating and assembling precision-built windows and sliding glass doors, while adhering to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
  • Effectively communicate and participate in a goal-oriented team environment
  • Read and interpret production orders for specifications
  • Operate chop saws and industrial fabrication equipment
  • Utilize pneumatic hand tools in fabrication and assembly processes
  • Assemble and install insulated glass panels into frames
  • Inspect work-in-process and finished units for quality compliance
  • Package and prepare completed units for shipment
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and production orders
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Experience in a team assembly environment is a plus
  • Collaborative, team-driven attitude
