Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThe vehicle product engineer will be the technical point of contact for our commercial based military vehicle platform, from request for quote to vehicle delivery. This individual will be responsible for interpreting technical customer requirements, identifying scope of compliance, constructing vehicle configurations, and creating/executing to engineering project plans. This position provides a large array of technical exposure from all aspects of vehicle product development.Responsibilities:Review customer requirements and complete internal/external compliance matrix responseConfigure vehicle specifications to meet our customer's requirements and application needsSupport the development of engineering basis of estimate (BOE)s, while leading the execution of that BOE when approvedLead engineering POC for all on-contract programs for the commercial based military vehicle platform. Integral team member supporting program management, business development, purchasing, manufacturing, finance, ILS, transportation, etc. Interaction with both US based and International customers, supporting them from an engineering perspective in all phases of the programDevelop and maintain vehicle and sub-system level Bills of Material (BOM)Lead change control management for on-contract ordersPotential for travel to support truck equipment integration and vehicle inspections Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineeringCapable of managing and/or supporting vehicle programs from an engineering perspectiveUnderstanding of vehicle level systems and sub-systems, along with their interaction with one another Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong understanding of core engineering principlesExperience with solving complex technical problemsEffective communication skills across multiple disciplines and audiencesAbility to perform hands-on tasks, if necessary, on heavy duty trucksAbility to travel approximately 5% of timeUS CitizenPreferred Qualifications:+2 Years experience in the commercial and/or military heavy truck vehicle marketHands-on technical experience in or outside the workplaceFamiliarity with Siemens TeamCenter & NX
