Job Description

Overview

Heidi is seeking a Product Designer who will design, prototype, and ship features for their healthcare software. The role focuses on creating intuitive and polished user experiences that allow clinicians to spend more time with patients rather than navigating complex software. The designer will work closely with engineers to ensure quality and integrity in the product.

Key responsibilities

  • Produce pixel-precise, interaction-complete design work for the product
  • Use AI tools to enhance the design process and expedite workflows
  • Collaborate with engineers during the implementation phase, reviewing builds for quality
  • Ensure attention to detail in type choices, spacing, motion, and micro-interactions
  • Contribute to and work within the design system, applying existing patterns rigorously
  • Share work early, provide honest critique, and accept feedback constructively

Required skills

  • Strong portfolio showing craft at the component and screen level
  • Proficiency in AI design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Claude Code)
  • Foundational skills in typography, layout, color, and component architecture
  • Ability to defend design decisions without reliance on user testing
  • Experience fixing broken patterns in production

What the company offers

  • $1,000 annual learning and development budget
  • $150/month health and wellness allowance
  • $500 home office budget
  • 26 weeks paid primary parental leave
  • 18 weeks paid secondary parental leave
  • Fertility support up to $10,000
  • Four weeks of work from anywhere per year
  • Equity opportunities
  • Focus on mental health and flexible schedules
