Job Description

Overview

The Product Configuration Specialist at Butcher Power Products is responsible for creating accurate and competitive customer quotations based on technical documentation from the Sales Engineering team. This role requires attention to detail and proficiency in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to ensure that all quotes are correctly configured and reflect the necessary specifications, pricing, and lead times.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and interpret technical documentation, specifications, and bills of material to develop accurate customer quotations.
  • Build, configure, and maintain quotes in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O).
  • Validate component selections and flag missing or unclear information in quotes.
  • Coordinate with Sales Engineers to clarify requirements and resolve technical questions.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals based on engineering documentation.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to verify component availability and lead times.
  • Maintain accurate quote records and track outstanding quotes for timely follow-up.
  • Identify process gaps and support standardization of quote templates.

Required skills

  • Experience in quoting, estimating, or a related technical support role
  • Working knowledge of electrical equipment and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with technical specifications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

What the company offers

  • Base pay range of $62,000 - $84,000 per year
