Overview

Primient is seeking a Process Technology Engineer to join their Global Operation Support Team in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves providing technical support and leading process improvement projects aimed at cost reduction and operational enhancement, acting as an extension of the company's continuous improvement program.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide process engineering support for manufacturing operations
  • Lead process improvement projects, including experiments at bench and pilot scale
  • Evaluate and interpret experimental results
  • Provide economic analysis of current and future process concepts and technologies
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to meet project goals and deadlines
  • Train technicians and project team members on equipment use and data analysis
  • Collaborate for effective technical transfer from pilot plants to production environments
  • Analyze opportunities and guide actions around process improvement ideas
  • Manage project pipeline and monthly project reviews
  • Willingness to travel as required

Required skills

  • B.S. in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years of industrial experience, preferably in the food or GMP environment
  • Practical hands-on expertise with equipment
  • Experience in process development, experimental design, statistical analysis, and scale-up
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including centrifugation, evaporation, filtration, ion exchange, and chroma
  • Stem-to-stern project experience from process development to operations
