Job Description

Overview

The Process Technician II - Complex (2 Shot/Bi Injection) role at ARaymond involves setting up complex injection molding processes on the 2nd shift in Rochester, Michigan. This position focuses on ensuring first-time quality, reducing scrap and downtime, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives under the guidance of the Process Engineer Team Leader.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with safety procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Perform accurate setups of multi-shot and multi-cavity molds
  • Manage shot size balance and transfer timing between shots
  • Troubleshoot molding defects and follow systematic procedures
  • Install and configure robots and auxiliary equipment
  • Complete SAP work orders and document process information
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers on process development
  • Work overtime as needed and perform related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Three years of experience as an injection mold setter and Process Technician
  • Hands-on experience with bi-injection/2-shot molding
  • Knowledge of RJG eDART System
  • Experience with ERP and MES Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of plastic materials and multi-shot injection molding
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds and perform physical tasks
