SUMMARY OF POSITION: This position will work on first shift. Individual must work closely and effectively with engineering, sales, and operations to achieve Waukesha Foundry's overall objective of on-time quality parts manufactured safely and profitably. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The primary Responsibilities include:• Project management responsibilities: Help verify casting designs from customers, design pattern equipment for new orders, design and interpret solidification simulations results, and follow orders through the shop to ensure proper and efficient processing.• Technical Review of purchase orders to ensure shop processing instructions meet customer requirements.• Develop detailed process instructions for legacy jobs.• Communicate process instructions clearly to the shop floor and help with any issues.• Work with customers and outside vendors as needed.• Estimating processing requirements for castings being quoted to assist sales.• Analysis of casting/scrap defects to assist with corrective actions and process improvements. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:• Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a related field• Prior experience preferred• Experience with CAD/CAM software and basic understanding of GD&T• Solidification simulation experience• Industrial blueprint reading skillsSCOPE:Position reports to the Engineering Manager.
