Job Description

Overview

Micron Technology is seeking motivated Process and Equipment Technicians to support wafer fabrication in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role involves monitoring and sustaining equipment and processes, conducting analysis, and collaborating with operations, engineers, and tool vendors to improve efficiency and yield. The company values military experience and aims to support the transition of veterans into civilian roles in the semiconductor industry.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor semiconductor processing equipment and support wafer process efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve workstation operations and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Conduct problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts using data analysis.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and monitor equipment performance.
  • Document process deviations and drive improvements through root cause analysis.
  • Lead projects focused on equipment maintenance and operational improvements.

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment
  • Mechanical, electronic, and software skills to resolve equipment issues
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and equipment upkeep
  • Military experience relevant to the role
