Overview

As a Probe Shift Equipment Engineer at Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho, you will be responsible for preventing and containing quality-related issues while monitoring, sustaining, and improving the quality of probe equipment and processes. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure increased tool availability and adherence to high-quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand the relationship between hardware, software, and processes to meet quality requirements
  • Collaborate with shift teams to maintain product quality at the highest levels
  • Engage with tool owners and hardware teams to address quality and performance issues
  • Develop and implement designs of experiments
  • Perform statistical analysis of manufacturing data to ensure processes meet required quality standards
  • Prepare data and presentations for partners and broader audiences
  • Help develop and drive continuous improvement projects
  • Mentor and coach team members on quality and shift-left processes

Required skills

  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and basic electronics technologies
  • Strong mechanical proficiency and ability to resolve mechanical system problems
  • Systematic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and design of experiments
