Overview

The Pro-Shop Assistant at the Town of Palm Beach is responsible for the daily operations of a golf pro-shop, including merchandise management and customer service. The role requires strong multitasking skills and flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the pro-shop
  • Assist with outing coordination and outside operations when required
  • Provide course information and ensure compliance with golf course rules
  • Operate POS system and collect fees
  • Book tee times and lessons both in person and over the phone
  • Perform custodial duties and maintain a neat pro-shop environment
  • Assist with merchandising and inventory control
  • Train new employees and coordinate bookings with partner hotels
  • Greet golfers and assist with golf bags at the staging area as needed
  • Ensure orderly player flow on the golf course and perform maintenance tasks if required

Required skills
