Overview

The Private Equity-Director role at FM in Boston focuses on managing private equity investments in collaboration with external investment partners. This mid to senior level position involves portfolio construction, risk and performance analytics, and supporting economic and financial market initiatives to enhance asset allocation strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VP, Private Alternative Investments and other investment staff on private equity investments
  • Assist in portfolio construction related to private equity and growth investments
  • Conduct diligence on new fund vintages and source private equity opportunities
  • Monitor performance and risk of the private equity portfolio
  • Build and maintain relationships with investment management partners and sponsors
  • Prepare due diligence materials and investment recommendations
  • Collaborate with investment operations, legal, tax, and support functions
  • Provide macro-economic insights and best practices for portfolio performance

Required skills

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in investments and financial markets
  • Expert knowledge in Bloomberg and FactSet
  • Strong inter-personal, communication, and analytical skills
  • Experience in financial modeling and risk management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Mentoring and coaching experience
  • Strong understanding of the investment landscape and asset allocation
