Overview

Interprint, Inc. is seeking a Printer Apprentice to join their dynamic team in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop technical skills in the printing industry, specifically with Rotogravure printing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and eager to learn while working alongside experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate in on-the-job training to acquire new skills regarding printing techniques and technologies.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of printing equipment under the supervision of senior staff.
  • Set up and assist the Rotogravure Printer with press operation.
  • Maintain job materials inventories and ensure a clean work area.
  • Learn and understand color development techniques.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Required skills

  • Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn Rotogravure Printing Press operations
  • Attention to detail
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols
