Job Description

Overview

The Principal/Sr Medical Editor at Syneos Health will be responsible for ensuring regulatory documents meet sponsor and regulatory requirements through copy editing, quality control, and managing projects. This role emphasizes collaboration within the medical writing team and provides opportunities for mentorship and training of staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain familiarity with FDA, EU, and industry guidelines for document compliance
  • Represent the editorial group in medical writing and project teams
  • Monitor timelines and budgets for assigned projects
  • Provide technical support and expertise
  • Conduct training and mentoring for medical editing staff
  • Advise medical writers and study teams on editorial standards
  • Lead complex medical writing projects and meetings
  • Copyedit documents for grammar, punctuation, and style accuracy
  • Perform quality reviews to ensure document accuracy
  • Contribute to process improvement and revisions of internal policies
