Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Software Security Engineer to join their Software Security Sensors and Effectors (S3E) Department in Tucson, AZ. This role focuses on developing world-class security software for deployed missile systems, requiring a deep understanding of real-time software design and security implementations.

Key responsibilities

  • Understand real-time software design and performance implications associated with system security implementations
  • Develop and integrate embedded software applications using C and C++
  • Collaborate with Systems Security Engineering team to define and implement requirements
  • Review technical designs and support verification of system maturity
  • Interface with the customer community regarding technical designs

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant software experience
  • Experience with C/C++
  • Experience with Xilinx UltaScale+ MPSoC or similar embedded processors
  • Experience with embedded operating systems like VxWorks and Embedded Linux
  • Software security experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. security clearance
