Overview

As a Principal R&D Engineer at Hoerbiger, you will be pivotal in shaping advanced mechanical solutions and driving innovation in tribology-based technologies. Your role involves leading R&D projects and translating scientific insights into high-performance products through hands-on research and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead R&D projects and develop innovative products, technologies, and systems.
  • Explore emerging technologies through research, literature reviews, and experimental validation.
  • Design robust solutions with a focus on performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
  • Plan and execute testing, including designing test programs and conducting validation testing.
  • Analyze data and solve problems using simulation and experimental results.
  • Act as a technical lead, managing risks and mentoring colleagues.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least five years of R&D experience in industrial environments
  • Experience with 3D printing preferred
  • Knowledge of tribology through education or practical application
  • Analytical thinking to interpret complex data
  • Program and Project Management skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across teams
  • Effective communication of technical topics to diverse stakeholders
