Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Program Protection Engineer to join their Software Product Assurance Center. The role focuses on utilizing Agile development techniques for embedded software on real-time systems, ensuring software integrity, and collaborating with Systems Engineering to support design and architectural documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy critical capabilities for embedded systems using Agile methodologies.
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test real-time embedded software solutions.
  • Collaborate with Systems Engineering for software requirements and architectural documentation.
  • Participate in Technical Integration Meetings with subcontractors.
  • Apply principles of embedded software development to design and maintain hardened applications.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience in Agile and DevSecOps environments.
  • Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and RTOS systems.
  • Experience developing multithreaded applications.
  • Familiarity with CMake and Google Test for code maintenance.
  • Ability to debug system and board-level issues across engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of computer architectures, including x86 and ARM.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git or Subversion.
