Overview

As a Principal Associate Software Engineer at Capital One Canada, you will lead the development of iOS features, focusing on SwiftUI and reactive programming. Your role will be pivotal in delivering exceptional customer experiences while adhering to engineering best practices within a growing software studio that values innovation in the banking sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Spearhead the development of iOS features using SwiftUI and reactive programming
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, UX/UI designers, and Product Owners to deliver quality customer experiences
  • Participate in team agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of commitments
  • Advocate for the mobile platform in both internal and external developer communities
  • Mentor junior to mid-level team members
  • Engage with developers across various disciplines (Android, iOS, APIs, Web)
  • Lead delivery of major components and platform needs
  • Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
  • Identify technical obstacles and develop creative solutions
  • Review pull requests to ensure code quality

Required skills

  • 4+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 2+ years of experience building iOS applications
  • 2+ years of experience with Swift
  • Bachelor's, Master's or Diploma in relevant field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience with SwiftUI (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience with open source frameworks (preferred)
  • Agile practices knowledge
