Overview

Capital One is seeking a highly motivated Principal Associate, Accounting to join their Controllers Group. This role involves managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various teams and applying accounting skills to support the financial implementation of new products and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for various projects from planning through delivery and stabilization
  • Lead and assist in the development, testing, and implementation of project requirements
  • Collaborate on the Bank Core Modernization Enterprise Wide Initiative
  • Facilitate the consistent use of Agile methodology for project delivery
  • Present results, findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
  • Contribute to process improvement and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in key corporate projects related to technology, data transformation, and business initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to resolve issues

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or Finance
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting (preferred)
  • Analytical skills and ability to integrate information to solve problems
