Overview

MIDDLEVILLE ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS LLC is looking for a skilled Press Technician to oversee press operations and optimize production processes. The role involves working closely with the Press Team to minimize downtime, implement continuous improvements, and uphold safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Run all presses and support equipment proficiently.
  • Reduce downtime through efficient die set-up and changeover.
  • Develop and maintain Standardized Work Instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve die issues in presses.
  • Program and troubleshoot electrical servo systems and Smart Pacs.
  • Maintain safety standards and identify potential hazards.
  • Assist with staging dies and train operators.
  • Contribute to process improvements and waste reduction.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and coach new operators.
  • Perform daily end-of-shift inventories of tools and supplies.
  • Utilize the Plex system for monitoring and reporting production.

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of die setting experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with electrical servo systems
  • Smart Pac programming experience
  • Knowledge of MTPS practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent with specialized training in MTPS
