Since 1996, MSS has taken pride in retaining some of the best talents in the industry by promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and empowerment.Role and ResponsibilitiesOperate press brake to complete orders in a timely mannerStudy blueprints and specifications to understand technical requirementsSet up CNC press brake to project specificationsEnsure proper positioning and alignment of metal inside of press brakeMonitor the bending processMeasure and inspect the finished sheet metal to ensure it matches specifications and/or blueprintTroubleshooting and addressing problems that arise during the pressing processPerform routing maintenance on the press brakeSetup appropriate dies for project specificationsComply with all health and safety standards in the fabrication shopAssist with spiral fittings and spiral insulation as neededProvide the best quality and productive work without constant reminder.Communicate with management, superintendent.Check to ensure that each job order is accurate and complete.Maintain, clean, and organize work areaUpdate order status dailyAssist with general work activities per the direction of the shop Supervisor to complete the activities.Support the mechanic, foremen, and superintendent to complete the project in a timely manner.Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.Exceptional career growth opportunities as Carolina Spiral continue to growQualifications and RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience operating a CNC press brakeIn-depth understanding of the parts of a press brake and how the machine worksComputer skills to operate CNC softwareAbility to remain upright and perform repetitive movements throughout most of a work shiftArithmetic skills to perform measurements using various measurement toolsFamiliarity with blueprints and the terminology used in technical specification sheetsMust be able to work flexible schedule-days, and some weekends.Present yourself in a professional manner.Must be able to work with variety of tools, follow directions and be able to read and write.Tape MeasureProtractorCalipersWrenches & Hand ToolsForklift operationRequired Education: High School graduate or equivalent.Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.Knowledge of HVAC or Construction preferredWork Environment:Exposure to high noise intensity level, exposure to moving mechanical parts, exposure to forklift traffic, climate-controlled shop!Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear.
