Overview

Merryhill Preschool is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Twos Teacher to join their early childhood education team in El Macero, California. This role involves guiding children through hands-on experiences to encourage exploration, language development, and social growth in a nurturing and fun classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that support each child's development
  • Foster social-emotional growth by modeling kindness, patience, and problem-solving
  • Maintain consistent routines to help toddlers feel secure
  • Build meaningful relationships with families through daily communication
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and school leaders to uphold classroom culture

Required skills

  • Completed 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education or awarded CDA in Preschool
  • 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare center
  • Patience, flexibility, and a love for working with young children
  • Authorization to work in the United States
