Job Description

Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Preschool Teacher for their Novato, California location. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood education and a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for children, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures mandated by the organization
  • Maintain general housekeeping tasks in cooperation with the teaching team
  • Obtain and maintain certification of Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR
  • Engage in regular self-assessment and participate in evaluations with supervisors
  • Support teaching team in implementing behavior plans and resource referrals
  • Maintain required supervision of children at all times
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and inviting classroom environment
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through effective communication

Required skills

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in early childhood education
  • 12 - 24 ECE units or CTC Associate Teacher permit
  • Associate Child Development Teaching Permit or higher
  • Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification
