Job Description

Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Preschool Teacher in Rohnert Park, California. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Child Development Teaching Permit and possess at least 6 months of classroom experience, and will work collaboratively with the teaching team to create a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with NBCC policies and procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks to ensure an orderly environment
  • Obtain and maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
  • Engage in self-assessment and performance evaluation
  • Assist in obtaining substitutes when necessary
  • Attend scheduled staff development days
  • Work collegially with co-workers and demonstrate professionalism
  • Support implementation of child behavior plans and resource referrals
  • Provide warmth and positive attention to each child
  • Maintain required supervision of children at all times
  • Assist in maintaining safe and welcoming classroom environments
  • Conduct classroom setup and maintain necessary documents
  • Develop open communication with parents regarding feedback

Required skills

  • 12 ECE units and 6 units in Toddler Development
  • CTC Associate Teacher permit
  • Experience in child development and education
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Classroom management skills
  • Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job
