Overview

Merryhill School is looking for a caring, creative, and enthusiastic Two's Teacher to join their early childhood education team in Sacramento, California. This role is centered around guiding toddlers through hands-on experiences that promote exploration, language development, and social growth in a nurturing and fun classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Create engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that support each child's development.
  • Foster social-emotional growth by modeling kindness, patience, and problem-solving.
  • Maintain consistent routines that help toddlers feel secure as they grow more independent.
  • Build meaningful relationships with families through daily communication and collaboration.
  • Partner with co-teachers and school leaders to uphold a supportive classroom culture.

Required skills

  • Completed 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education
  • CDA in Preschool
  • 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center
  • Prior experience in a licensed childcare center
  • Nurturing personality with patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children
