Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a Preschool Teacher in Healdsburg, California. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate Child Development Teaching Permit or higher and demonstrate a commitment to early childhood education while working collaboratively with a teaching team to create a nurturing environment for children.

Key responsibilities

  • Adhere to all NBCC policies and procedures.
  • Engage in regular self-assessment and evaluation of job performance.
  • Support the teaching team in implementing child behavior plans and resource referrals.
  • Maintain general housekeeping tasks to ensure a professional environment.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open communication.
  • Maintain required supervision of children at all times according to licensing regulations.
  • Assist in the daily setup of classrooms and outdoor play areas.

Required skills

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in early childhood education (ECE)
  • 12 - 24 ECE units
  • CTC Associate Teacher permit or higher
  • Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR certification
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Classroom management
  • Child development knowledge
