Overview

Shepherd's Flock Preschool in Arlington Heights, IL, is seeking a passionate Preschool Teacher to join their award-winning intergenerational preschool program. This full-time, day-shift position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through a unique learning environment that connects young children with older adults.

Key responsibilities

  • Foster a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children ages 3.5-5 years old
  • Integrate teaching skills with the values and principles of a mission-driven organization
  • Provide children with a developmentally appropriate educational experience
  • Support each child's growth through intentional interactions, care, and guidance
  • Participate in intergenerational programming opportunities with older adults
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members

Required skills

  • At least a two-year degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 1-3 years of early childhood education or childcare experience preferred
  • Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification or willingness to obtain
