Overview

North Bay Children is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join their team in Rohnert Park, California. The ideal candidate will help create a positive and enriching learning environment for young children while adhering to state licensing regulations and organizational policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
  • Engage in self-assessment and participate in performance evaluations
  • Support teaching team in implementing child behavior plans
  • Develop meaningful relationships with parents through open communication
  • Coordinate with other staff to maintain child supervision at all times
  • Conduct daily set-up of classrooms and outside play areas
  • Report any injuries incurred by children or staff to the Head Teacher

Required skills

  • 12 ECE units and 6 units in Toddler Development
  • CTC Associate Teacher permit or higher
  • Certified in Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR
  • Experience working collegially as a team member
  • Positive reinforcement and redirection methods
  • Cultural competence and respect for diverse backgrounds
