Overview

Merryhill Preschool is seeking an experienced and passionate Preschool Substitute Teacher to support all classrooms at its Natomas location. This role involves overseeing daily classroom operations, designing and implementing lessons, and building relationships with families in a collaborative educational environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee daily classroom operations and ensure compliance with state licensing regulations
  • Design and implement intentional lessons to encourage student growth and development
  • Build meaningful relationships with families and create a welcoming school culture
  • Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff

Required skills

  • 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education or an awarded CDA
  • A minimum of 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds or less frequently and 25-50 pounds occasionally
