Overview

Georgetown Hill Early School is seeking a Preschool Director for its new campus in Rockville, Maryland, opening in 2026. This full-time leadership role involves supporting teachers, partnering with families, and managing high-quality learning experiences for children, while leveraging a proven curriculum and fostering an inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team of early childhood educators
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children
  • Maintain compliance with MSDE Office of Child Care regulations and NAEYC standards
  • Foster strong, positive relationships with families, staff, and the broader community
  • Support enrollment growth and promote the campus within the community
  • Manage campus operations, staffing, and budgeting

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • MSDE 90-Hour Preschool Certification or CDA with Preschool Endorsement
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in early childhood education
  • Experience leading a campus serving 150-200 children
  • Knowledge of child development and instructional best practices
  • Financial and operational management experience, including budgeting
  • Knowledge of MSDE regulations and NAEYC Accreditation
  • Organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and education-related technology tools
