Overview

The Connecticut Institute for Communities, Inc. is seeking a Preschool Aid / CDA Specialist to assist in their Norwalk Early Learning Programs. This role involves supporting 1-2 classrooms in planning curriculum and activities for preschool and infant/toddler children, working under the supervision of Lead Teachers.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing classroom routines, curriculum, and meals
  • Support classrooms of 14-20 preschool or 7-8 infant/toddler children
  • Perform core functions of the Head Start program
  • Collaborate with Lead Teachers and Education Services Professionals

Required skills

  • Bilingual communication
  • Childcare experience
  • Basic computer skills (email, word processing, internet navigation)
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate or commitment to obtain one
  • Early Childhood Education Credits preferred
