Overview

The Prepared Foods Production Team Member at Whole Foods Market is responsible for various tasks related to the preparation and service of food in the deli and culinary prep areas. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety regulations, with the broader mission of improving community access to healthy food.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with production for all Prepared Foods venues
  • Ensure all prepared foods are properly labeled, dated, initialed, covered, and rotated
  • Maximize sales potential through proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product
  • Provide excellent customer service and address customer needs effectively
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • Document waste and spoilage using appropriate forms
  • Follow established procedures for health, sanitation, and safe work practices
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
