Overview

As a Prep Cook at SSP Canada, you will be part of a team that operates multiple restaurants inside the Victoria International Airport. Your main responsibilities will include food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring a positive guest experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Follow recipes and practice portion control for food preparation
  • Maintain proper set-up of the kitchen and stock required products
  • Handle, store, and rotate food products properly
  • Complete checklists for opening, ongoing, and closing duties
  • Perform cleaning tasks to adhere to health standards
  • Return items to proper places and organize work areas
  • Communicate with management regarding shift setup and product shortages

Required skills

  • One year experience in food service
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with customer service issues
  • Food handlers permit as required
  • Brand Certification as required
