Overview

CDAH Management is seeking a Prep Cook for their Orchard Ridge Assisted Living facility in Coeur D Alene, Idaho. The role involves preparing meals and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen while providing compassionate care to seniors. Candidates must be able to work in a cooperative team environment and meet specific health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparations, including chopping, dicing, and slicing ingredients
  • Prepare salads, side dishes, desserts, soups, and alternate lunch salad plates
  • Clean the prep area and wash pots, pans, and dishes
  • Understand and apply portion control
  • Be flexible and ready to step into any position as needed
  • Comply with Health Department regulations and food handling practices

Required skills

  • Food Handlers Certificate or willingness to obtain within the first year
  • Previous prep cooking experience
  • Effective communication skills
