Job Description

Overview

The Predictive Maintenance Specialist at PacifiCorp is responsible for providing expertise in equipment condition monitoring to ensure optimal performance and reliability of power generation stations. This role involves a combination of technical support, data analysis, training, and mentoring to foster a culture of reliability within the organization. Travel up to 50% is required.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor critical rotating equipment and collect route data
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance activities and review data results
  • Develop and implement projects to optimize equipment reliability
  • Provide technical support and direction for Predictive Maintenance group members
  • Determine and coordinate training needs and facilitate appropriate training
  • Mentor team members to enhance expertise in Predictive and Precision Maintenance technologies
  • Create and manage equipment historical data and performance assessments
  • Participate in onsite equipment inspections and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with plant management and maintenance personnel

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • ISO Category II or higher Vibration Analyst Certification
  • ASNT Level 1 or higher Thermographer Certification
  • Thorough knowledge of Emerson CSI Machinery Health Manager software
  • Proficiency in Bently Nevada systems including TSI, ADRE, and System 1
  • Dynamic balancing and precision shaft alignment expertise
  • Knowledge of lube oil analysis and quality control
  • Five or more years of experience in industrial power systems or electric utility
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
