Job Description

Overview

The Predictive Maintenance Specialist at PacifiCorp will provide expertise in equipment condition monitoring, focusing on vibration analysis, lube oil analysis, thermography, motor testing, and quality assurance for power generation stations. The role involves monitoring critical rotating equipment, optimizing maintenance quality, and developing in-house expertise in predictive maintenance technologies.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor critical rotating equipment and collect route data
  • Optimize quality of maintenance through inspection and monitoring technologies
  • Develop and implement projects to enhance equipment reliability
  • Provide technical support and direction for predictive maintenance team members
  • Coordinate training needs and facilitate training for plant-based team members
  • Mentor and promote a culture of reliability within the team
  • Create and manage equipment historical data
  • Participate in onsite equipment inspections and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with plant management and operations personnel

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • ISO Category II or higher Vibration Analyst Certification
  • ASNT Level 1 or higher Thermographer Certification
  • Knowledge of Emerson CSI Machinery Health Manager software
  • Proficient in Bently Nevada systems
  • Strong understanding of rotating equipment dynamic balancing and precision shaft alignment
  • Knowledge of lube oil analysis
  • Demonstrated predictive and preventive maintenance strategies
  • Strong mechanical aptitude in power plant equipment
  • Minimum of five years related experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
