Overview

As a Precision Tool and Die Fabricator at Bundy Baking Solutions, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machine tools to fabricate and repair metal stamping dies. This role involves applying mechanical knowledge, shop mathematics, and machining procedures to create precise parts. Key responsibilities

  • Study sample parts, blueprints, and engineering information to determine fabrication methods and sequence of operations
  • Operate metalworking machine tools, such as lathes and milling machines, to machine parts to specifications
  • Assemble parts into completed units using jigs, fixtures, and both hand and power tools
  • Fabricate and modify tooling, such as jigs and molds, to produce parts and assemblies
  • Verify dimensions of parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining processes
  • Select and secure holding fixtures and cutting tools on machines
  • Measure and test completed units for defects and ensure specifications are met
  • Dismantle machines and equipment for inspection and maintenance
  • Maintain machines, tools, and equipment by cleaning and lubricating

Required skills

  • Knowledge of machine tools and powered tools
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Proficiency in precision measurement and mathematics
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to quickly respond to signals and adjust movements accordingly
