Job Description Job Description About the Role: B&Z Manufacturing Company Inc is looking for a detail-oriented Machine Shop Inspector to join our team in San Jose, CA. Responsibilities: Inspect machined parts and components for dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instrumentsPerform first article, in-process, and final inspections on machined parts per engineering drawings and specificationsUtilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM equipment to verify tolerancesDocument inspection results, maintain quality records, and generate non-conformance reports (NCRs)Collaborate with machinists and production teams to identify and resolve quality issuesInterpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering blueprintsSupport continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve production quality Requirements: 2+ years of experience in quality inspection within a machine shop or manufacturing environmentProficiency with precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and height gaugesStrong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbolsExperience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation is a plusFamiliarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems preferredStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracyHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or vocational training preferredZeiss CMM experiance a plus.
