Overview

Magruder Eye Institute is seeking a Practice Administrator to oversee the overall success of assigned ophthalmology practices. This role requires strong leadership and administration skills to manage daily operations, enhance patient care, and ensure the efficient running of practices within a mission-focused healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for practice and surgery center activities
  • Manage office operations in accordance with the annual budget
  • Coordinate and improve practice operations including flow management and staffing
  • Partner with clinical leaders to set clinical objectives and optimize scheduling
  • Prepare and maintain operating, salary, and capital budgets
  • Collaborate with finance team to track performance and budget goals
  • Resolve patient concerns effectively
  • Supervise optical operations team members
  • Attract, recruit, and retain top talent in partnership with HR
  • Ensure team engagement and performance through recognition and opportunities for learning
  • Travel to satellite locations as necessary to observe performance
