Job Description Job Description Pouch Operator Pay Rate: $17.50/hourShift: 6:30am-2:30pm or 6:45am-2:45pm or 7am-3pm 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM/7:00 AM to 7:00 PM-2 RotationPosition Summary: The Pouch Operator is a position responsible for inspecting, over-pouching, and performing quality checks on filled bags containing IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies, and other sterile solutions. This role contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives.Essential Job Duties:Over-pouch and seal bags containing solutions or premixed drugs at a rate consistent with production needsInspect over-pouches, bags, and components to ensure quality standards are metPerform scheduled quality checks using gauges and scalesConduct and document scheduled cleaning activitiesReport and address any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issuesApply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Maintain a clean and safe work environment using 6S principlesCorrect packaging or seal issues as identifiedPerform other duties as assignedWork Environment:Class III Controlled Environment; PPE and gowning required (safety glasses, shoes, ear plugs, hairnet, beard cover, additional PPE when cleaning/loading trucks)Exposure to elevated noise levelsWorking around equipment, machinery, and conveyor beltsOccasional use of chemical cleaners and disinfectantsRequired Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalentMinimum age: 18 yearsBasic English written and verbal communication skillsAbility to comprehend, follow, and communicate written and verbal safety and quality instructionsBasic mathematics skillsAbility to obtain Inspector CertificationPreferred Experience:One year of manufacturing experience preferredCRC Career Readiness Certification at the Silver levelPhysical Requirements:Continuous grasping, pushing/pulling up to 15 lbs, and reaching with hands and armsFrequently lifting and carrying up to 15 lbs throughout the shiftNormal visual acuity and color distinctionAbility to complete quick, repetitive processes using both hands and armsMust be able to squat, climb, reach above/below shoulder level, twist and bend at neck and waist, and balanceOccasionally specialized physicals required for working with certain drug codesAdditional Information: Please note this job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, or activities.
