Job Description

Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer to perform protective services primarily in Washington, DC. The role includes providing security for high-profile locations and individuals, and applicants may be eligible for a recruitment incentive of $75,000.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
  • Travel for the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age between 21 and 40 (with exceptions for prior federal law enforcement service)
  • Proficiency in carrying and using firearms
