Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer for protective services, requiring relocation to Washington, D.C. This role involves safeguarding key locations and individuals, including the White House and foreign dignitaries, while also fulfilling investigative duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions
  • Travel in support of Presidential and foreign heads of state missions
  • Enforce protective responsibilities as outlined under Title 18, United States Code

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Must be at least 21 years old and under 40 at referral
  • Firearms training and proficiency
  • Physical fitness and visual acuity requirements
  • Ability to pass a drug test and complete extensive training
