Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer to provide protective services in Washington, DC. This role involves protecting key government locations and officials and may come with a recruitment incentive of $75,000 for eligible applicants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
  • Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/govt missions.
  • Enforce protective responsibilities as mandated under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age between 21 and 40 years at application time
  • Ability to carry and use a firearm with maintained proficiency
  • Visual acuity of 20/100 uncorrected and 20/20 corrected
  • Hearing capability as per specified decibel ranges
  • Pass drug tests and complete required training programs
