Overview

The Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer to join their team, with a critical role in providing protection to key government locations and officials in Washington, DC. This position offers a $75,000 recruitment incentive, and applicants must be willing to relocate.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions
  • Travel in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • At least 21 years old and under 40 at referral
  • Firearm proficiency and ability to carry a firearm
  • Uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100
  • Corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye
  • Hearing requirements as specified
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Completion of intensive training at federal law enforcement training centers
