Job Description

Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking Police Officers to join their team in Washington, DC, with a significant recruitment incentive of $75,000. Successful candidates will be dedicated individuals tasked with providing protection for key government buildings and officials, showcasing courage, intelligence, and trustworthiness in their roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and foreign diplomatic missions.
  • Travel in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as outlined under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age requirement: at least 21 years old and under 40
  • Firearms proficiency and ability to carry a firearm
  • Physical fitness and ability to meet visual and hearing requirements
  • Submit to drug tests
  • Complete 12 weeks of training at FLETC and 17 weeks at the James J. Rowley Training Center
