Job Description

Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer for protective services, requiring relocation to Washington, DC. This role involves safeguarding important locations and individuals while maintaining a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions
  • Travel in support of Presidential and foreign heads of state missions
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as per Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age between 21 and 40 (with exceptions for federal law enforcement service)
  • Firearms handling and proficiency
  • Physical fitness
  • Ability to meet specific auditory and visual standards
  • Completion of extensive law enforcement training programs
