Overview

The Police Officer position with the Secret Service involves protection and security duties in Washington, DC, including safeguarding key government locations and personnel. Applicants may be eligible for a significant recruitment incentive of $75,000, emphasizing the agency's commitment to hiring dedicated and capable professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
  • Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
  • Enforce mandatory protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Required skills

  • Uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100
