Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer to carry out protective duties in Washington, DC. This role involves providing security for high-profile locations and individuals, requiring relocation to Washington, DC and meeting specific eligibility criteria.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and other significant sites in Washington, D.C.
  • Travel to support Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign dignitary missions.
  • Enforce protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age 21 or older at application, under 40 at referral
  • Firearm proficiency
  • Uncorrected visual acuity of 20/100 or better
  • Corrected visual acuity of 20/20 in both eyes
  • Hearing capability meeting specific standards
  • Ability to pass drug tests
  • Completion of extensive training at designated training centers
