Overview

The United States Secret Service is seeking a Police Officer for assignments in protection within Washington, D.C. This role involves providing security for various high-profile locations and individuals, including the White House and diplomatic missions. A $75,000 recruitment incentive may be available for eligible applicants.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex and other significant locations
  • Travel in support of Presidential and foreign dignitary missions
  • Enforce protective responsibilities under U.S. law

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age between 21 and 40 at the time of application
  • Firearm proficiency and maintenance
  • Uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular
  • Corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye
  • Hearing ability within specified decibel range
  • Successful completion of drug testing and background checks
  • Completion of intensive training at Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers
