Overview

The Secret Service is seeking a dedicated Police Officer to perform critical protective duties in Washington, D.C. This role involves providing security for high-profile locations and individuals, enforcing relevant codes, and participating in specialized training programs.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for The White House Complex and other significant locations
  • Support travel for Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign dignitary missions
  • Enforce protective responsibilities according to federal guidelines

Required skills

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age requirement: 21 years or older and under 40 at referral
  • Firearm proficiency and ability to carry a firearm
  • Visual acuity standards
  • Hearing standards
  • Ability to pass drug tests
  • Completion of intensive training at designated Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers
