Overview

The Police Officer position at the United States Secret Service involves carrying out protective assignments primarily in Washington, DC. Officers provide protection for key governmental locations and officials, participate in high-level travel, and enforce specific protective responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide protection for the White House Complex, Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions.
  • Travel in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state missions.
  • Enforce mandated protective responsibilities under Title 18, United States Code.
  • Complete intensive and specialized training programs.

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Current valid U.S. driver's license
  • Age requirements (21 years or older, under 40)
